The foundation seeks to enhance the lives of youths and their families by providing scholarships and grants to individuals and programs that foster social and educational development, health and wellness, and athleticism. The foundation will strive to deepen local youths' commitment to values such as honesty, unselfishness and courage.
The Tom Smith Foundation has honored a graduating senior at Westwood High School for outstanding academic achievement and superior qualities of citizenship every year since 1991. Every year at Westwood High School's graduation, the Foundation presents a scholarship to a student who demonstrates the same characteristics that everyone admired in Tom, including honesty, good sportsmanship, unselfishness, academic achievement and a sense of humor.
Although the foundation dissolved in the year 2019, we wish to continue Tom's legacy and still award a scholarship at Westwood High School. Donations can be sent directly to the school. Please make your check payable to: Westwood High School and include "Tom Smith Scholarship" on the memo line. Please mail your check to:
